About Us

Hi, I’m Selene Suarez, founder of The Best of U Events, based in the stunning mountains of the Vail Valley. Event planning has been part of my story for as long as I can remember. By the age of 12, I was already helping family members plan their special celebrations, designing centerpieces, organizing guest lists, sourcing vendors, and helping bring their ideas to life. From the beginning, it was clear I had a gift for creating memorable moments, and it didn’t take long for me to realize that this was more than a passion — it was my calling.

With years of experience in the hospitality industry, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the art of planning thoughtful, seamless, and unforgettable events. After planning my own destination wedding and falling in love with every part of the process, I knew I wanted to help others experience that same joy. Whether you're planning an intimate elopement or a celebration with over 350 guests, I understand what it takes to bring your vision to life with creativity, care, and precision.

My husband and I are both proud to call the Vail Valley home — this mountain town is not just our backdrop, but a part of our love story. He’s not only my best friend and adventure partner, but also a huge supporter and helper behind The Best of U Events.

Together, we soak up all that mountain life has to offer. In the summer, we’re hiking, camping, or exploring hidden trails. In the winter, you’ll find us snowboarding and warming up with a big bowl of pho afterward. When we’re not out adventuring, we’re relaxing at home with our 3-year old Akita Lab mix, Lyla who keeps life joyful, playful, and full of love.
